Liverpool held its first Barcamp last month, proudly supported by Glow. The event, billed as an “unconference” is designed to give new media developers the chance to exchange ideas in an informal environment – a model pioneered in silicon valley and one which has helped move internet technology so fast over the last few years.

The first Barcamp was held in Silicon valley, California in 2005. Liverpool followed suit in 2008 and Glow was proud to have secured sponsorship from Microsoft and Yahoo for the event.

Over 100 attendees made this one of the biggest UK barcamps in history including the legendary Google barcamp.
