Liverpool Sound City is the largest metropolitan music and arts festival in the UK, playing host to over 360 artists in 25 venues across the city.

It’s also an internationally renowned conference with activities in Athens, Doha and New York.

The Brief:

Liverpool Sound City's digital assets needed to reflect its international standing and ambition.

The software powering the website needed to be fundamentally rethought.

 

The Result:

Glow created a world class website featuring innovations like the interactive schedule - a UK first for a festival.

This allowed users to see all events at once and understand which might conflict with each other, so they could plan ahead and build their own unique list.

In parallel, Glow developed an iPhone and iPad app which recognised the user and mirrored their schedule, helping them to find the events they like and get more from the festival.

These digital assets contributed to the biggest and best Liverpool Sound City to date, doubling or tripling every significant metric as compared to last year:

  • Pages Per Session: x 2
  • Peak Daily Traffic: 10,000 visits / day
  • iPhone App Traffic: 20,000 visits / day
