Glow has won a place on the M4R programme with the National Physical Laboratory (NPL). National Physical Laboratory (NPL) is the UK's National Metrology Institute, developing and maintaining the national primary measurement standards. It is a Public Corporation owned by the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

From accelerating new antibiotics and more effective cancer treatments to developing unhackable quantum communications and superfast 5G, NPL’s expertise is crucial in researching, developing and testing new products and processes.

The project will see NPL putting Glow’s SafeTeam Guardian, which is in use by NHS, through its paces and formally benchmarking accuracy in the field. This independent study will be invaluable in proving the capabilities of the technology.

“NPL literally leads the world in scientific measurement. We’re so excited to have NPL put our technology through its paces and determine its capabilities in the field!”

Phil Blything

“NPL is dedicated to supporting UK industry in its economic recovery post Covid-19 and collaborating with innovative companies like Glow New Media Ltd to help them invest and grow. We are excited to provide our measurement and analysis expertise to enhance product reliability, investigate the feasibility of concepts and validation of leading products and processes,”

Irshaad Fatadin, National Physical Laboratory (NPL).
