Glow Power Through Manchester 100 for CAFT
With pedal-powered determination, Glow joined a team of cyclists from Sci Tech Daresbury to complete the Manchester 100 2025 charity ride, raising vital funds for the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT).
The event, which winds through the scenic Cheshire countryside, saw hundreds of riders take on the 100-mile challenge.
This event is part of the larger “Accelerator Challenge” which will see the team ride [the equivalent road miles] from Daresbury campus to CERN in Switzerland.
More Than Just Miles
Glow’s participation wasn’t just about cycling - it underpins our longstanding Glow Beyond programme, through which glow has supported their charity, community and "greater good” partners over 18 years, sometimes through bringing our web design, mobile app agency skills to bear pro bono, or other times donning the lycra and pedalling.
Other supporting businesses included Skilled Up Life, RGS IT, Applied Materials and of course Sci Tech Daresbury.
The cyclists crossed the finish line, tired but triumphant.
All of this is in order to raise money for our sponsored charity CAFTcharity who support over 20,000 children in the NW of England who have mental or physical conditions or disabilities, are carers for relatives or from disadvantaged backgrounds. Helping these young people have a time when they can just be children and teenagers.
