Retinal imaging diagnostic device wins HealthTech Prototyper round 2

The second round of Glow's HealthTech Prototyper has been won by VUI Diagnostics with an impressive retinal imaging diagnostic device and mobile app concept, InVision.
1.3 Billion people suffer from avoidable blindness and VUI Diagnostics mission is to help doctors to diagnose eye disease earlier. InVision offers fast, digital retinal imaging and achieves it in a way which requires no special operator skill, at a fraction of current screening costs.
The judges from UCL Partners, KSS AHSN, Innovation Agency, STFC, Hill Dickinson, Brunswick Medical, Datalla and Health Foundry were particularly impressed with the application of technology, approach to problem solving and health economic rationale of the business.
