Go Online Panel, L-R Phil Blything, Fred Mendelsohn, Wayne Locke, Jack Stopforth, Martha Lane Fox, Peter Barron & Dennis Kehoe

Glow recently took part in the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce launch event for the Go ON Liverpool – give an hour campaign, led by internet entrepreneur, Martha Lane Fox, co-founder of Lastminute.com and UK Government Digital Champion.

Glow’s Phil Blything joined Martha Lane Fox on the panel, skillfully chaired by Chamber CEO, Jack Stopforth, alongside Peter Baron (Google head of communications, Europe, Middle East & Africa), Dennis Kehoe (CEO, AiMeS Grid Services), Wayne Locke (Regional Director, Ashtenne) and Fred Mendelsohn, Chairman of AXM Venture Capital.

Lane Fox is championing the Race Online, backed by the Prime Minister David Cameron to help the 10M people in the UK who have never used the web.

Each of the panel encouraged the audience to take the pledge and spend an hour to help someone who isn’t online to take the step.
